Description
As a growing number of office buildings and tenants begin to look at what is involved with achieving Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification – or, at the very least, how to improve sustainability within their workspaces – they are finding a number of LEED systems to explore and understand. In this session, attendees will explore the LEED for Commercial Interiors (LEED- CI) system, which was updated in the Spring of 2009. In addition to learning the basics of LEED-CI, the revised point structure in the system will also be reviewed. Also, Alan Warner with the USGBC will be discussing Green Associate Credentialing.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of the session, participants will be able to answer the following questions:
• What is LEED-CI?
• What are the myths surrounding LEED-CI?
• How does LEED-CI work with other rating systems available?
• What type of spaces can be LEED-CI certified?
• How the 2009 Addition of LEED CI compares to Version 2.0
• A better understanding of Regional Priority Credit
• How do I know if my space is a good fit for LEED-CI?
Ample on-site surface parking available.
