The Cincinnati Magazine Design Home was built as a demonstration project for the magazine's Home and Garden Section. The Design Home emphasizes a "green" approach to residential construction and home-making, hoping to inspire local residents and beyond.
Strategies and Results
The home employs many strategies to be environmentally friendly, including the use of low VOC coatings, native species in the landscaping, energy star rated windows, and a geothermal heat exchange pump that is three to four hundred percent more efficient than standard air conditioning units.
